Denied from chase for the freedom card and and citi double cash. Very short credit history. I have had a cap one platinum for 3 months. Any suggestions on a decent card with a higher limit than the cap 1.
Thanks

There is your problem right there. Chase is notorious about wanting to see at least a years worth of credit use. Also, you're seeing now that a person's credit profile and liklihood of getting approvals isn't always tied directly into thier credit score. There are other factors involved that can help with an approval and/or higher starting limits.
You can look into some of the pre-qual sites such as AMEX and Disco but with only 3 months of credit usage on file do not expect higher starting limits. Don't be in a rush. Building up your credit reputation takes time.
Agreed. Folks can be fresh out of school for example, with 0 established credit but a 740 score, however not be approved due to that lack of established credit history. At least a few months time and patience goes a long way, as well as possibly earning a CLI on the current card.
With such credit history I don't think the 727 helps much. Also very surprising you have 727 with only a 3 month credit history.
What is the rush though? I built up my credit reputation over several years. I first started with the Capital One Platinum card with $500 SL and over 2 years(?) got my CL up to $2000+ before I applied for the Amex Gold Delta card with I think $3000 SL. If you are good with your payments, Amex is very generous with CLIs so I think you could get probably get $10K CL total within a few years. At least that was my experience. I guess what I'm saying is it took me 4-5 years to build credit up to that point.
