Help. Can I recon my AMEX 100K application?

I just applied for the Amex with the 100K offer link. 

I was given the denial message because "we cannot approve your application at this time because our records indicate that a payment was returned in the past 30 days".

I did set up my new navy fed account to pay my amex bill. I don't know why the payment was returned but I after i got the notice i immediately paid it with through my primary checking account "Wells Fargo".

Could I have a chance at recon if i explain this? They already see the payments.

Yes, call them to see if they can recon and come back with the results... fingers crossed.

Same here.  Tell the why is wasn't your fault.  They should give you a 1 time pass.  My fingers are crossed too!

I just called. I explained the situation. She seemed to understand and was very helpful. She was like oh the reason it was automatically declined was because of that but the system can't tell the difference if you then paid the payment after. She said from the information she has it shouldn't be a problem and that it'll get submitted for a manual review and I should have a decision in 3-5 days. My report was never pulled.
