Help! Citi Prestige: my approval odds?! Should I apply?

If not for the fact that I was recently declined for my citi costco visa CLI, I would'nt hesitate to apply for the citi prestige.  (I currently have a $9100 credit limit on my citi costco card and have had it for approx 7 years, although it used to be amex and has only been with citi for 2-3 years I believe). That said, this CLI increase denial gives me serious pause...citi's reason was "too many recent inquiries" which I have come to learn generally means something else that theyre not willing to share with me.

My income is 185k, I currently have 0 debt and a 130k credit limit across 14 credit cards.  I have the Amex Platinum, Chase Saphire Reserve and Mastercard Black Card which are comparable premium travel credit cards that typically require high income/credit...that said I had a few hiccups about 18-24 months ago and missed 2 credit card payments which I've had to rebuild my credit score from....currently, my fico scores are: Experian:716, Equifax: 731 Transuion: 744.  My average account age is 5.5 years, and I've had 6 inquires in the last two years on my experian report, most recent showing is in April.  For whatever reason my Credit Kharma scores are much higher showing 786 for Equifax and 801 for transunion.

Also, its worth noting I also got the Citi Brooks Brothers mastercard in February and it has by far my lowest credit limit of any CC I have at only $2,500.

So...will I be approved???????!!!!!!!!!! Thoughts? Comments? Thank you in advance for the advice here!

Could go either way...  Yes inquiries are usually generic excuses that they don't like something else in your profile.. Probably the recent late payments.   Have you tried the pre-qual site on citi to see if you were pre-qualied on any of their cards?  Also were your lates with Citi being the ones less than 2 years ago?  If so I would say don't even think about it.  Others can way in more although those lates are fairly recent especially with your income as honestly there should be no excuse with said income unless one is overspending.  Obviously other factors come into play why you might of been late, but this is ahow a bank/cu probably sees it.

Correction my equifax fico is 745. Also, it should be noted that I got approved for the chase sapphire reserve 6 months ago and Amex Platinum 2.5 months ago( no hard credit pull because I had other Amex cards )

You still didn't answer whether the lates were with a citi card or another bank?

Chase is pretty easy to get and Amex is easy to get.. One of the tougher lenders is Citi w/regards to credit standads or baddies.  Granted your existing relationship can help/hurt depending on the answer the question above

It was not a citi card.
