I would go with secure cards at the moment if those are your real scores. Try Bank of America, Cap 1

Also, have you gotten any Discover It (Student) things in the mail? If they counter-offer you with a secure card those are generally good because they report as a real card and graduate eventually.
I started with scores low 500s and built my file with a couple share secured loans and 5 secured cards. I reviewed the cards tohelp others in the same boat. Here's the thread.

DON'T make an oops and get a first premier card. First progress has been just fine for me, some people have confused the two. If you have any specific questions, ask them in the thread and I will answer
No, but I do have a huge collection of mail from Capital One "pre-qualified" type offers, but had not done all this research at time recieved. Those offers were only good thru Jan. 2015 and the others in 2014. I haven't recieved any in about a month that I didn't throw away.
run the cap1 prequal. See what pops up. you can try chase prequal as well, tho that might be a stretch. Some of the others are kind of sketchy, dont trust discover prequal for sure.
Apply for the CapitalOne QS ONe or platinum...my gf scorse are in the high 400s/low 500s and she got a $300 line from capital one. I would try them before you try and secured cards, just to kind of gauge where you stand. She also has unpaid student loans and lates...go figure.
I know for a fact CapitalOne approves with low 500s and high 400s, this is my experience.
Either you can go the secured route through a local credit union or try capital one prequalifier. Capital One is good with helping people rebuild their credit history.
Good Luck
Don
I just became a member of Navy Federal Credit Union!! Did the application via telephone (about 10 minutes ago) and am now a member!
Should I apply for one of their cards or is it too soon??
I was approved for the Capital One Secured card and was asked to make deposit of $99 for $200 credit limit. I deposited $100.00 today online.
