Re: Help Please! Amex 61 day CLI Question

Will Amex pull and determine the FICO score on the our Amex online account for 3x CLI request? I have 713 FICO score as of Sept. 30 on my Amex online account and it's been about 33 days since I was approved of my BCP. Should I pull the trigger NOW for 3x CLI? or Should I wait for the 61 day? Smiley Sad. Pls advise Smiley Sad

Wow this trend is STILL going? Anyway. Well from posts I've seen from fellow AMEX cardholders the 61 day rule is rule of thumb. I have seen people say they applied for CLI after a month or even a couple days. You seem to have a strong Crédit score and folks have also said that card companies view each card as a different card product separately. You can do a little more trolling on the forums but I would think your score is strong enough for an increase. If it was me I would try but make your own decision!

Let us know how it goes!

Lol grandercorn Smiley Happy. Thank you for the info. I'm very tempted actually to request 3x CLI even I'm still at 33 days Smiley Sad. Does Amex use my FICO score from their website or they will pull again? My score from 713 (date of pull by Amex site September 30) on their site now has actually drop to 696 now on MyFico website Smiley Sad.

Anything below 700 I would hold off then. 700 seems to be a magic number for credit

They will use the score from their last soft pull which may or may not be the number showing on their website.  You would need to know when they last soft pulled your credit report and what your score was at the time.   As far as when to request the cli it is up to you, I requested one upon activation and was denied.  My score at application was 703.  I used the card about 1K per month for the next three month always PIF and was given the 3x cli from 6.5K to 19.5K when I requested it about a month ago.
