I think your situation is perfect for AMEX to approve you. It looks like you haven’t burned them in the past. I obtained the Gold and the Delta Gold within three months of each other and I have less income and paid a charge off in the year prior to obtaining one with a lot less credit history. And I app’ed for the Gold with no prequal at an EXP 635.
If it were me, I would take the plunge on any card from AMEX you want. Prequal be darned. But that’s me and YMMV.
