Hi guys,

I applied and got approved - http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Amex-BCP-Approval/td-p/3675143. Thanks to everyone here. How do I know about my CL? I have asked the same question in the other thread. Let me know if there's a way other than waiting for the card.

Congrats. Call the approval number 800-567-1083

Thanks. Called the above number. They approved me for $4300. This becomes my highest limit card! Smiley Happy

Congrats on the new card. If I may be so bold, I'm going to recommend that you don't apply for anything else until after you close on your house. Let the HP age, apply for CLI for the AMEX card, and make sure you're paying off in full every month

Use it as your only card until your 61st day CLI, and watch that triple Smiley Happy

I was planning to use it exclusively for grocery, gas and very minor dept store (if any) - approx $500 per month, and use my Barclaycard Arrival+ for everything else. Do you think that'll hurt my chances of the 3x CLI?

Re: Help deciding whether I should apply for BCP

More spend on a given card means higher internal score, which potentially means higher limit . I had a green card that I had a 5k down payment on for my car. 3 months later I was approve for my BCE. Instant 7k. 61st day CLI to 16.6k . Definitly would not hurt to try. What is the worst that can happen? They give you a lower CLI? Lol, I know you would not want that. Smiley Happy

Okay, that means I'm going to use it for all my puchases, at least for the first 60 days.

Ya...plus you might need to to get that bonus! I think theyre offering one right now, not sure.

Besides, it's not so bad. I have double miles and double cash but I've been using my CSP for the bonus.
