Good afternoon everyone!
Closing on a house on May 17th, and looking to what products I can/should add to my wallet after closing on the house.
Income: 160k annual W2
Current products:
- Cap1 Quicksilver, 5k CL, $200 util (AZEO for the mortgage, open since 2003)
- Chase Slate: $1800 CL, 0 balance (open since 2003)
- AU Chase Freedom, $11200 CL, $0 Balance (AU and open since 2008)
When the house closes my DTI will be 22% (Student loans and 1 moderate car payment). Current Scores are all over 750 FICO 8. I travel a moderate amount with work, enough to earn Hilton Gold every year, and mostly fly WN. I was planning on getting both Southwest cards, but the changes this week scuttle that. I have the green check mark for the CSP card in my chase account (also have my checking and savings accounts there).
Thoughts on what products I should strive for? What are my chances on the Amex Hilton Aspire? I would get a lot of use out of that card.
I'm thinking a CSP and if I have a decent shot at getting it the Amex Hilton Aspire. What am I missing here, thanks in advance for any help/comments/considerations?
With those stats I do not foresee any issues in you getting the CSP and AMEX Hilton Aspire if those are your desired cards.
I just got Delta Reserve since the company I work for uses them a lot and DW can travel international with rewards down the road. I here Southwest will have a premium card soon so I would wait on that if you are think Southwest.
What would be your "must have" when traveling? lounges? status?
The AMEX Platinum gets you a Gold status with Hilton, SPG and Marriot.
Primarily status. I'm Hilton Gold now, earned the hard way. I almost always stay at Hilton properties and would like to maximize my points earning opportunities in the HHonors ecosystem. I'm up in the air on airline cards though, my home city is served very well by Delta, WN, and United and can afford to be fairly agnostic on the carrier, even though I wouldn't mind getting 2 WN cards (at least that was my thinking pre-nerf) and getting the companion pass.
