yes, i could pay it down, but it won't happened for at least two months. i could easily bring it down to 35% in two months.

Getting that Cap1 card down will certainly help. But traditionally they pull EXP, so at 696 you should be good to go. They may start you with a smallish line depending on the rest of your profile (income) but the good news is with AMEX, it grows quickly with responsible usage. Good luck!
