UPDATE: I've decided to try and make a call to them just to see. Most likely nothing will happen but maybe I can get a credit limit increase who knows. I figured it was worth a shot I've had a lot of fraudulent things on my credit years ago that are slowly getting removed but everything I've had on my credit there has been nothing ever late and utilization at 12% so here goes nothing...
Good luck!

@Anonymous wrote:I'm pretty sure they won't honor what you were told. The Cash+ is a Visa Signature and like you said has a min $5k SL. It even says on their website that if you're not approved for a Cash+ you will be issued a Cash Rewards. Pre-qualified doesn't necessarily mean pre-approved.
+1 I agree. On the plus side, you got approved for a US Bank card - congrats!! US Bank is a tough lender to get in with, and with your scores I would be happy. Heck, the only thing they used to pre-qualify me for was a pre-paid debit card - now I can't even get that offer
Congrats OP. I too can't even get the prepaid card from US Bank to pop up anymore (not that I would ever apply for it). I just opened up a checking account with them since it's free if you have a credit card with them. Thinking they might offer something and nope, notta. Even deposited 5k and still nothing.

Same here!! Till one day they pre qualified me for a Cash+ and Flexperks + Amex..... I tried and was denied!
That's how they get you with that pre qual site. Happened to me a couple of times after my Cash+, then one day Kroger popped up and I applied and was approved for $1,500 and that's where it sits nine months later. Heck I even get instantly denied for a CLI on my two US Bank cards. They don't even waste time pulling a HP when they do it
We were just discussing this on another thread (a Discover CLI discussion morphed into a US Bank discussion)
US Bank WILL NOT give me a CLI, no matter what I do....but they keep giving me more credit.
My 2nd oldest card is their Kroger card with a $500 limit. When I found out I was being transferred to an area with NO Kroger brands, I went into my branch and asked about a PC (before I even knew what a PC was), and the banker just opened up a new acct, a Cash Rewaredes acct.
That was my primary card for awhile, but they would never budge on that $2k SL.
Then one day, I got a call from a Personal Banker I didn't even know I had. Offered me a PLOC. A couple weeks later, called me back and offered me a $6k Platinum card with very low APR (once the 15-month 0% intro rate ends)
US Bank is one of my highest total exposures, but no, none, zero, nada CLIs.
Oddly US Bank remains my lowest.
Even Comenity just raised my pretty new Marathon Visa from $2500 start limit up to $3300 now after a SP CLI only last month.
Had that card 6 months. US Bank isn't interested in the least to being anywhere near as generous or useful as their big boy competitors.
I honestly think they are quite content to stay right like they are.
