Hi guys! New here to the forum, and want to say hello! Also need some advice about Amex's pre-qualified link on their site-specifically, how accurate is it? When I input my info, Blue Cash Everyday, Gold Card (charge), and Platinum Card (charge) appear. My AAoC is about 2 years and my EX score is 681. TU is 753. No negatives. Utilization is about 32% because of where I am in cycle and recent purchases made. My income is about $99k per year. Do I tand a chance of approval for the BCE? I really wantto getmy foot n the door with Amex-- Thanks in advance for your input.

Yes. it is pretty accurate. But keep in mind. Most of the charge cards you mentioned. They all have basically the Same UW> Amex only pulls EX so does not matter what your TU score is. Why is your Ex only 681 with no negatives? something is holding it down. 681 would get you approved. not sure if for the BCE. But it would be close depending on what is holding score down. Actually i would get my Utilization below 30% for best results. What i mean is for higher Starting Limit and better Apr% after promo. Edit if you look at my scores as well. My Ex and EQ are much lower. But based on inquiries from those two bureaus. So may be the same with you. I also have no negatives at all.
Hi Taxi. Thanks for the input. I do have quite a few inquiries over the lat 24 months--about 12 for EX, 3 in the last year. I never really used credit cards before; I only had one card and paid cash for everything-cars, tuition--everything. I am figuring my aaoc is factoring in as well as my inquiries. I have the inquiries ironically because of advice from my financial consultant to increase my credit portfolio substantially. :/![]()

Dont worry of those inquiries. They are only going to look at how many in the last 6 months. Anything older than that is ok.
As you see i have 18 on Ex but i only have 3 in the last 6 months like you. when i got my 2 Amex cards i had like 11 inquiries. Was not an issue. My AAoA is still very low. only 1 year now. oldest account is 2 years old. Ive had both my Amex cards a year now to give you an idea. You would be fine. Amex loves those This and clean files. Just choose your card and go.

im sure it lists a specific APR and if so you are good to go.
I would STRONGLY encourage you to grab 2 cards for 1 inquiry. After you apply for the BCE, private browser google Amex PRG 50k. Apply for that, you will have to call in probably to verify due to security measures. Then spend a grand in 3 months and you will have 50k MR points, 2 $50 airline gift cards, then after jan 1 2 more $50 gift cards. Those 50k points can be transferred directly to Delta and thats enough for 2 roundtrip tickets in the US. Basically you have enough for 3 flights with this deal. Then at 51 weeks go for a retention offer to circumvent $195 annual fee, and if they dont give you a deal, downgrade the card to a cheaper one. Then you will earn cash back or points on gas, groceries, department stores, and restaurants...
also too with your high utilization you can worry less about how much reports because the PRG is a charge card (pay off monthly). I put my property taxes on it!

The APR listed was a parameter, not a specific APR percecentage...still say go...or no go?

I wanted to ask, too, if it may be better to try for the Delta Rewards Amex ---which I can also use.
I say go for it.
