Higher limit on new card for existing customer?

Hey all, first post. This community has been a great resource, and I look forward to contributing in the future. Right now, I'm looking at picking up a balance transfer card. I had to unexpectedly relocate and leave my job recently. Unfortunately, I made several large purchases on a card before I found out, so I'm now carrying a balance of about 7k with the intro APR period nearing its conclusion in August.  I'd like to transfer some of it to avoid paying too much interest before I start working again.

I'm trying to maxmize my initial credit limit to transfer as much as possible. My question regards whether I can get a higher initial credit limit on a new card if I am a long term customer with a certain bank. I have a BoA card with a 75k limit that I've worked up over a few years. If I applied for a BankAmericard, would I be more likely to get a higher limit than say, a Chase Slate or Discover it? My scores are around 730 right now, my other card (with the balance) is a Cap One Quicksilver with 10k limit. Thanks in advance

A pre-existing relationship definitely helps. I think you should go with BoA, just keep in mind that since you currently have a huge limit, they may take from that limit to approve the new card.
