Higher scores Higher APR?! HELP

I have the QuicksilverOne (22.9% APR) and recently applied for the Venture. I got $10K and a 16.9% APR. At the time I applied, I was also preapproved for the Quicksilver at 15.9%. This was March 6th. I applied for the Quicksilver, yesterday, with higher scores and got offered a $3k CL WITH 22.9% APR!!! What the hey? Should I close the new account? Will that hurt my credit? Should I keep it (it has 0% APR til jan 2016) and then close it or request that they review it for a lower APR after the intro period is over? I don't want to hurt my credit after rebuilding for a year.

Close the QuicksilverOne to get rid of the annual fee? Idk....it's my oldest credit card at one year....the next oldest is 11 months....😲

Re: Higher scores Higher APR?! HELP

You already took the HPs you might as well keep the card. You don't have to pay interest on it for a year... then close if you want.

Congrats on your approvals.

Re: Higher scores Higher APR?! HELP

Yeah, but they screwed me in APR and CL. I just don't know if it's worth keeping considering that crappy APR. Especially after my Experian shot up 20 points to 663. Will closing it lower my AAoA or hurt my credit? And thanks for the congrats. =)

Re: Higher scores Higher APR?! HELP

Maybe once I get the card I can call and request a recon...... I am happy to have the card, I'm just shocked that with higher scores and the APR they showed 3 weeks ago, the new APR is 7 percent higher with a lower CL than my Venture.
