Had the Home Depot store card since November 2017 ($601 sl, odd amount). I will need to replace my central air and furnace this year. So, since I had this home improvement card for 7months, pulled the trigger, requested cli of $25,000 (go big or go home). Yes, it was a HP TU (Fico8 734).
Denied, called recon, stated too many inquiries in the last 6 months (TU inq. = 5). Also, stated will receive a letter stating when you can try again. I guess I will need to wait it out (another 6 months).
Or should I call back again and try recon with possibly a getting a different CA or how is Lowe’s new app sl?
Yes, request credit limit increase button was available but it was a HP. As far as I read here on the forum, Home Depot CLI is always a HP.
Can get a lowes card and if that is your TU score you will get approved for probably 3k or so right off the bat then call CS and ask for 20k and should be countered at 17k with that score. Just an option if your HD card isnt high enough limit and you want a bit of cushion as Sync is definitely more giving. Ended up what I went with Lowes vs. HD credit card for my new house on purchases was simply SP cli's and more giving and usually better prices at lowes as well
Is Snych Lowes inquiry sensitive. Home Depot denied cli because of too many inquiries, TU 6 now with HD inq.

No Sync/Lowes is not inquiry sensitive at least nothing like HD.. Think I had 18 Inquires on my TU when I got my lowes card a few weeks back.
Not to sidetrack the thread but in my opinion HD did you a favor with that denial if it means that you look elsewhere for an HVAC system.
