Home Depot Consumer Credit Card

I recently applied, and was approved for a Home Depot Consumer Store Card. I am planning on making some home renovations. It has been well over 15 days and I still have not received the physical card. I have already called and discussed the issue with Citi (and hopefully got a new one sent, and will get it this time), I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this issue with Citi cards in the past?

On a roll today ... as I have had the same issue twice over the years with Citi on new accounts and the card issues. Generally, it took at least two telephone calls and a wait of around thirty days to finally obtain the new account cards. Why, I do not know. They always gave me a list of reasons and I think it is their systems.

I'm pretty sure that if the account has already been approved and you're just waiting for the physical card, you can use your HD account because the cashier can look up your credit account at the register with your SSN.

@jdmull  Be sure to call the CS and request CLI given you have  home renovations! HD is known for lower SL but then high CL after calling CS. Ask for 15K+ 😉

Be warned though,  CLI requests on the HD card trigger hard pulls.

Re: Home Depot Consumer Credit Card

@jdmull Any updates on whether you received your HD Cc ? I Had an issue with the citi HD Cc I was instantly approved and given a temporary Cc number to shop until my physical Cc arrive.  In 7 days I received the Cc however when it was time to activate and add my login profile and external  bank account the customer rep told me she was having issues pulling up my account.  I was on the phone for 2 hours and I finally told customer rep to close the account because I am not going to deal with a bank that is screwed up. Not worth the stress.

Good play.  My theory is if a bank starts out by screwing your account up, it will continue to screw up and probably screw up even worse in the future.  Best to get out when that happens and find a better bank.
