How Difficult is Amex BCE Approval?

I assume it's more difficult to get BCR. I have 740 EQ and EX, 691 TU. 10% CU.
6EX, 1TU and EQ. 79K annual income. With new CFU, average age is about 1 year.

Best to apply by phone?, online? I haven't had Amex for about 20 years. What can I expect from them?

How do you have a 240 on EQ and EX?

BCE is a very basis card and is one of the easiest to get.

Unless there's something were not seeing then I'd say Approved. For this card at least. (BCE) I'm not sure how hard BCP is to get but with lesser scores than yours I just got a $1k SL on the BCE. AAoA was 7 months. And 45% UTI. Also 1 baddie. You can check my recent posts for more stats but I say go for it and let us know what your SL is. Good luck! Also check online so you can get the $150 sign up bonus. Maybe even 200 if you get lucky.

I hand typed all 600+ of them into a Google doc from the approvals forum here.

AMEX has a prequal site, you should try that. If they make you an offer with a sign up bonus and a specific interest rate, you should be fine. Also, make sure your EX is unlocked.

Definitely try the pre-qual site.  When I applied, they actually had the lowest rate for any that had pre-qual'ed me on a website.  I also got the offer for the $200 bonus.  That was easy to hit just by running everything through the card rather than using my debit card for anything.  They will pull EX, so pay special attention to that report.  :-)  GOOD LUCK!!

Went to Amex pre-qual site. No luck.

I just got a CFU on 12/5/17. Could that be having some impact?

I don't have enough direct information to answer that, but it may be useful to track.

Does the Chase account show up on your reports yet?

Keep trying the prequal site every week or two.

Note: some people are approved with no prequal showing at all. You can cold app, if you wish. A prequal is not a guarantee of acceptance, and no prequal is not a guaranteed denial. For me, I'd prefer to have the cards stacked in my favor.

Have you met my friend Discover? They also have a reasonably trustworthy prequal page. They pulled EQ for me in Carolina, unsure of other areas.
