Two high limit cards?
Why not what? Apply?

40K miles = $400 statement credit towards travel.
@Anonymous,
Thanks for clarifying that as that is what I thought. Hopefully, I get my 2nd $400 after C*..
I was denied for the Venture but have not received any letter as of yet. I applied last Friday, I imagine for too many inquiries and "not enough expreience with high limits".
One the other hand, I applied with USAA last Wednesday for the AMEX Cash rewards and was approved for 16K, then knowing I could apply for another USAA with the same pull I was approved for the World Mastercard Rewards for 16K, then feeling good I submitted one last app for the night and that was for the Huntington Voice, and was approved for 8.5K. Not a bad 15 minutes of my time. Then the next day, I upgraded my Sams Club card to the Mastercard.
As for the Venture, I am not bummed about being "denied" although their 3 pull system does suck to the max. I will wait for the letter and see what they say. No big loss to me though either way.

How long did you have the Sams Club? I'm interested in an upgrade to the MC too. I've had mine since November.

@Anonymous,
That was some serious drilling of apps for 15 minutes. Nice
I had the SAMS Club 13 months. I was also told back in December when I phoned to question an upgrade I could apply flat out for the SAMS Mastercard and keep both cards if I saw the need.
I got approved!
Thank's Yes-it-me. I saw my inquiries had dropped to 4 on Equifax and pulled the trigger knowing both banks would pull them. I also bank with Huntington and have wanted that card for about a year now with the 3x rewards.
In a few months I may apply for one more USAA card with the low interest and close the 2 Mastercards I had prior to last Wednesday since they were "rebuilding" cards but not secured. As of today, I have a car loan with USAA, and 4 credit cards. 2 with 16K limits, and one with 2K and the other with 1K.

Very well done. Strategy, strategy... Always works.
