@Anonymous wrote:Thank's Yes-it-me. I saw my inquiries had dropped to 4 on Equifax and pulled the trigger knowing both banks would pull them. I also bank with Huntington and have wanted that card for about a year now with the 3x rewards.
In a few months I may apply for one more USAA card with the low interest and close the 2 Mastercards I had prior to last Wednesday since they were "rebuilding" cards but not secured. As of today, I have a car loan with USAA, and 4 credit cards. 2 with 16K limits, and one with 2K and the other with 1K.
Good card, Voice. Good choice.
I also bank with them and HAD planned on getting a 2nd one this month at 1 year anniversary. Wouldn't that been nice?
Then along came Venture.

Hmmm ok, guess my brain isn't working after work... Still confused, but nothing new there with me. I guess I am thinking in terms of CSP... being 40k UR = 400 cash or about 1000+ in travel in used with partners.. I know I am not adding 1+1 correctly, but I will get there

I still don't get the hype around 40k bonus. Capital One used to bump this to 50-75k bonus a few times a year.
I submitted an app to see if I could churn this card though since there is little data. Instantly denied, got the letter today:
1) Too few accounts with a balance.
2) Number of new accounts.
3) Income insufficient for requested credit.
That is my main purpose too- Churn.. I read on FT the Venture once has a 100k bonus after meeting spend. Sorry, you got denied. Others got better APR than me but I will sit in the corner and just churn with my lousy APR.

#1 sounds like our old friend PenFed.
@Nix,
I didn't know PenFed used those reasons too.. Good thing I got in before my new accounts started showing on my report and freezing those little suckers (IDA/ARS)
