What's your AAoA and how may accounts have been opened in the last 6 months/12 months?

15% aggregate utilization is too high, get it under 8%.
Also what’s your highest utilization on any one card?
Do you have an installment loan open and reporting?
My highest single card uti is 26%. I opened an installment loan with Golden 1 Cu since I bank with them. Alliant denied me for being on chexsystems even though the negative balance was paid off to US Bank awhile back.

My AAOA is around 8 months. It's the inquiries and recent account that are preventing me from getting new cards. I currently have around 8 inquiries and 5 new accouts opened in last 3 months. Thought I could get a Penfed card before gardening to age the new accounts but was not denied. The question I have is how long do I need to garden though? If I garden for four months to raise my AAOA to 12 months, that would still leave most of the inquiries within the 6 months period. Do I need to wait for at least a year then to have half of my inquiries dropped off? In most of my denials, it's either too many recent inquiries or too many recent accounts opened. I do not have any freeze put on my credit report, and I also made sure I'm opted in but I guess these big name lenders just don't like my file enough to extend any pre-approval. To be honest, the reason why I want to see some pre-approvals is to prove that all my works past couple of months trying to repair my credit are not being wasted. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. Something to look forward to at the end.
