How long does Amex take to report?
My mom was approved for an amex recently... hers goes back to 1989
I opened my first amex in 2007
If she adds me to her amex (she had the MSD date changed to 1989... ) will mine report 1989 or 2007? or 2014?

Read amex takes anywhere from a few days after first statement cut up to 2-3 months for them to report. They are slow compared to Barlcay's etc...
Your MSD will be better then what you would get if she adds you as an AU.. If she did that you don't inerhit her MSD date, but the date you were added as an AU.. So your date of 2007 is better then 2014 obviously.
You will get your MSD of 2007

On the card yes, but they do not backdate AU on CRs. That perk is reserved for primary cardholders only.
So even tho I had an amex from 2007-2013 I will not benefit from being an auth user on my moms?
Won't it report as a new 2007 tradeline?
I hope it doesnt report 2014...
If you had your own account from 2007 which is from what I understand from your post. That's the date you'll get, Mine was backdated to 2000 when I got my card back then. If you've never had a card and you were put as an AU waaaaay back then before they stopped backdating for AU then yes you would get the older date.

When is this magical date? As stated they said I would be MSD back till 1990, but lexis says it will just say MSD since 1990, but the CRA's won't backdate it?
I heard it was all about when you were added as an AU, vs. not doing it anymore at all.. If it was 2 years ago basically I heard no go, but longer whatever that date is, you get the benefit. Still trying to find out the truth to this. As stated it shows on AMEX website now MSD as 1990, but will it show that way on the CRA's?
I don't think it's up to the CRA to determine when the date is, it's what the lender reports.
Credit, is that the date you got yours or when you added as an AU?
Guess I will find out either way when it reports to the CRA's and i will clearly see the date. whether it is 2014 or 1990
