I am 2 years post BK and a Discover card has always been my wish card. I have too many inquiries right now and a few new accounts to even attempt now. Should I wait a year and apply or longer? Wait until all my inquiries have fallen off?
What are your current scores? Did you burn Discover in your BK?
Nope I've never had a Discover. TU 650 EQ 653 EQ 668

I applied in Oct 2013... 4+ years after filing a 13. Denied for BK.
Approved in Dec 2014... 5+ years after filing.
Can't remember if it was EX or EQ that they pulled but my scores were ballpark 685-690.
I didn't burn them... never had a Discover.
Your scores look a bit low. Discover isn't all that BK friendly... even less if you burned them.
I planned on doing all I can the next year or two to pull them up. Maybe I'll try in two years and see what happens.
Discover is all over the board on what or whom they approve.. I agree scores might be a bit low with a BK on your file, but people certainly have been approved with BK on their files a few years out of BK also people with clean files in the 700's are declined.. They are a tough person for me to personally put my finger on what they look for.. No desire to apply personally since I have the freedom, just always try to figure them out is all.

I was approved for 1600 20 months after BK7 discharge......did not burm them.
So far 2 auto cli of 200 every 6 months....lol
What were your scores like if you remember? Any inquiries?
I applied - approved for $4,500 - 1 year and 1 month out of BK. They pulled TU which is clear of any IIB accounts - but the BK7 is still on there. My FICO was 740 at the time - and according to the letter. I did not include Disover in my BK.
I also want to say that I had A WHOLE LOT of good accounts BEFORE BK to begin with and i also had all the other cards in my signature.. perfect payment history - always PIF - but I let NFCU post $5600 on the credit report on accident.. I didn't pay before statement. Blah

I have a Discover and IIB in my JUN2011 BK7 discharge. I burned them for over $10K. I apped in APR2015 along with many CUs. Discover and Delta were my only denials. I picked up $70K in SLs over 10 cards. So yes, they are butt hurt if they get burned. It sounds like they are BK7 friendly if you have a fairly clean file with a BK7.
