I'm planning on buying a house in February. My current FICO scores are around 775 (Experian). I am willing to wait for apply for new credit cards especially until everything is settled with the house. But I would like it sooner rather than later because I'm hoping to use the cards to buy stuff for my new place to meet the sign-up bonuses. I wanted to get a sense of what timeline people on here think is best.
If it helps, I'm planning to apply for Amex Hilton Aspire and Chase Freedom Unlimited first. (Maybe Citi Premier or AAdvantage Platinum Select in a few more months to a year depending.) I currently have Amex EveryDay, Amex Gold, Amex Platinum, Chase Freedom Flex, and Chase Shappire Preferred.
Thanks for the input!!
General rule: hands off all credit activities until you have the keys in hand.

What they said.
AFTER closing.
AFTER the loan has funded.
Keys in hand.
You can always ask your broker to verify that the loan has funded after closing and keys are in hand just to be extra sure.
Once that's all done, throw a freaking app party if you wish. It's a free for all.
Agreed Agreed Agreed! Hold off!
I went crazy the day after I had my keys and Escrow closed.

In general, after keys in hand, then you can go crazy with your application spree.
