Just another how long should I garden post....A few months ago I reached the point of prime credit cards no longer laughing at my applications and went on an app spree. At that point, I was happy to get a couple of milestone cards and a new car loan. Now I have a much better idea of how I want to use my spend and in which ecosystem. I have a ton of work-related travel coming up as well as two personal trips in the next 10 months.
How long should I wait to apply for the Hilton Aspire and Amex BBP? My scores took a dive with all of the new accounts and hard pulls ( currently 680 - 702) I know Amex will mostly like SP but not always. I have not prequalified for any of the Amex issued cards but haven't been denied yet either. Currently zero utilization and 10 HP on Experian.
April 2021 Approvals
- NFCU More Rewards Amex (hoping to PC this after a year)
- Delta Gold Amex
May 2021 Approvals
-Penfed Car Loan
- Amex Gold
June 2021 Approvals
-Apple Card
-Amex Plat

The only thing I can see holding u back is maybe the inquiries but you would have to wait 24 months for them to fall off so that's not ideal to wait until then so honestly since your already and Amex customer new accounts will be Soft pulls so pulling the trigger and possibly getting rejected would be a free pass .....I say go for it relatively soon if you want and if rejected try again in 3 months...
If they hit you with the "too many new accounts" rejection then perhaps wait a little longer

Being an existing Amex customer means usually you only get SP'd on new applications, but it's not always the case. There's no guarantees.
OP, I'd maybe garden for 6-12 months to let all those inquiries and new accounts age. The inquiries will remain after 12 months, but they will no longer count for scoring purposes.
