Hello,
I was wondering how often Cap 1 gives CLI's via the luv button? I opened my QS and Platinum cards in Jan and got a CLI after hitting the luv button in March. I was wondering if I should wait another couple months to try again or if I should just try once a month after each statement cuts? Also for Discover I got my IT card in December and after 90 days I tried the luv button but no success, so I tried chat and same thing
6 months usually. Also, requesting one doesn't seem to affect any scheduled credit steps increase, if you're enrolled.
I have no experience w/ Discover.
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
I applied in Jan and hit the luv button in Apr got 3X CLI and will hit the luv button again in the 6 month mark..
Another card got CLI in Dec-2014 and have hit the luv button several times with no increases...
There's really no way to tell how CapOne will or will not approve...
This is my assumption..... CAP 1 does soft pulls and will hang on to that score for your luv button push. I would push the button after the most recent pull. For the auto-CLIs, I believe that it happens when you log in and it asks you for your current income. I have had that happen a couple of times, but not really sure of the frequency as I don't really pay attention.
One suggestion is to actually use the card for three months prior to asking. I have a cli since being denied due to non usage. So I used the card 2-3 months and requested again and got it. If I planned on asking again, I would use the card for the three months prior.

I have a similar issue. The message I get is "Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low". Granted, my QS has a 10k line and the highest I ever get the balance is $1000, maybe $1500, and I definitely don't need a CLI but I hit the button every month or so just in case. Can anyone else chime in about having a high CL, maybe one of the 10-20k Venture folks as well. Trying to determine if I have to reach a certain percent of the CL before I'd be eligible for a CLI at all.
