I had something erroneously on my credit report in November that got removed. I have hit the love button on Cap One's site this month and was declined for an increase due to my report from November. In the letter, it says the report was pulled 11/29.
It's now almost Feb. How long are they going to use that Nov soft pull? If they pull now, the report will be correct.
I called an asked a rep which was a complete waste of time.
Anyone here know how often Cap One does a soft pull?
Thanks.
This is what I have on EQ:
AR-Capital One | 01/03/17 |
AR-CAPITAL ONE | 12/27/16 |
On TU I have June, Oct, and Dec 2016.
Cap One must SP everyone as often as they do their Credit Wise update which I think could be as often as weekly, but certainly every month.
That said, there's no rule that creditors have to use their last SP in their decisions on your account. In fact, it has been stated in the past that some creditors go off of a pull from several months prior at times. I'm not sure if this is the case with CO, but something that should be taken into consideration.
I tried for a CLI a couple weeks ago and they are still using the 11/29 EQ report. I'm hoping next month they will use an updated score. It sucks they use EQ 04 since it's about 60pts less than my EQ 08.

Every 2 months or so they do a soft pull of a 1-month old EQ 5 score.
Thanks for the info guys.
