How solid is pre qual from BBVA ? Updated= Approved!

Good morning everyone,

I do have a question, just checked on my cheking bbva acc and I noticed a prequal for clearpoints and also today I will reveive the envelope with invitation to apply. How solid are their ivitations/prequalifications? The BBVA was the first bank to approve me for an auto loan post discjarge and paid in full after two years. I have a solid salary, tone of cards and inquires lol. Any info and/or advice are welcome.

They’re very solid. I haven’t heard of anyone who got the mailer who got denied and my understanding is that the offers on the website and app have a fixed APR and credit limit before you submit the app.

No problem! They pull EX so if your score is right (687), it should be no problem for you. They gave me $2K at 671.

I received a mailer with a solid APR and got denied. I haven't received a mailer from them after that point. 🤷

*Raises hand* I got denied. It does happen. They didn't like the amount of accounts I had opened in the last year.

Well I went ahead and applied and over the phone and they requested to upload my DL ( both sides) and went for two days waining lol. They sent me an email to apply for the same card with the same invitation

I was approved with a low limit of 2500 and tons of inquiries and approvals with high limits( exept macys $500) lol. Like everyone here said taht thier prequal is pretty solid.
