How to cure the itch??

After being re-introduced to credit having gone 5 years without, I'd say I'm borderline obsessed. Obsessed with getting approved, growing my SL with CLI and plotting out my payments. The more educated I become, the more this is like a game I can "win". Winning being an 800+ score by the end of next year.

I count the days that tick by until I can hope to claim a SP CLI and check the pre-qual sites in hopes of some amazing offer (that has yet to come).

How do I cure this itch and does it eventually go away??

Sorry Mod of this is the wrong spot!!

Join nfcu and get a card with a 25k limit and 10% interest.

It helps.

Re: How to cure the itch??

Lol, I'm sure that would...if only I was NFCU eligible. Once my limits are high enough to stop worrying about Util when statement cuts it'll cure me.  We have a ton of CC spend a month, on most of our cards we spend & PIF a couple times a month.  If the PenFed card didn't have the 10 day hold, I would exclusively use them.

Actually... my brother-in-law is active duty...could he sponsor me into NFCU somehow?

Go on a planned 30 card app spree , at one time, post your intent, and watch how fast you have benodryl pouring through the comment sectionsSmiley Wink

Whatever happened to that OP with that crazy plan?  I recall reading the post in its infancy, but didn't keep up with it.

Ahh yes, the fabled credit suicide run "for data points."  That would certainly kill it (and your credit).

Jlgab345, maybe setting goals for yourself and achieving them would work?  Like 5 cards over $5k with only 1 well-planned HP this year?  I'm not the best one to offer advice, I'm still itchy.

If you PIF, interest is irrelevant.

If it was my brother in law, I'd try it. My guess is that it will work.
