How to have BT offer from Discover?

I have Discover card for the last 4-5 years and never ever received any CLI despite of good spending for so long...The datapoint on this site and others have shown that BT would yield CLI...I do want to do BT for the purpose of CLI but I dont see any BT offer on my account....If I would do it without any offer then it would be 5% fees and APR (which I dont know how much)....Do you guys know what should I do to get some kinda BT offers?? Thanks

I just called them and asked, but their answer was- "Sorry, maybe in the future. Keep eyes on your account for it". I told the rep that its been 3 years since I got no offer, so how long more should I wait....She answered: Sorry, I dont know it".

always have BT offers with them usually 5%, but sometimes they goto 2-3% and 4%..  Won't touch a 5% nor a 4%, but when they know you don't need it that is when they offer 2-3% ones.

Re: How to have BT offer from Discover?

I hadn't gotten any until after my 12th statement. I asked over the phone for a CLI (which was declined) and I also asked since I didn't see any balance transfer offers for me and the CSR that I spoke with said that I would wait but she could somehow put into the system that I wanted one. A couple of days later, I saw two offers in the app. I wouldn't do either one. The only ones I would contemplate is <3% fees (I've seen some 0% fees for 12 months low interst) and that would just be to checking and then pay off the card.IMG_5467.PNG

It's not true that balance transfers yield CLI's.

No one knows the key to Discover balance transfer offers just like no one knows the key to Discover CLI's.

Just periodically go to Card Services > Balance Transfers and see if there's something there. But don't think it's going to get you a CLI; it won't. Balance transfers are the only things I do with Discover, and I almost never get any CLI's.

Used a BT not cause I needed to with Discover a few times to try to prompt a CLI, but nope stuck at 20k.  Given 20k is good enough, but on lower end of my card limits.  Won't use a discover BT unless 2-3%..  Never 4-5% fee in my life.  They use to be great for BTs, not anymore for most
