How did you manage to get approved for all those cards in your siggy with those scores? Smiley Happy please teach me.

Have an attractive profile. No recent derogs.

Fair enough, how many derogs do you have and how old are they?

The two CO's on EX are falling off in the next 1-4 months. Auto loan with some lates is due to fall off in 6 months.

Re: I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Dude, I'm serious. Get a BofA Secured Credit Card. You have that EX HP hanging out there now, get a freaking secured credit card.

Otherwise it really IS a waste of a HP, especially if you really want to get back with BofA.

Who do I need to call to utilize the HP for that? Is that even possible?

Seriously. I'd drop the $1,000 into one right now just to get back in with them. Smiley Happy

Who was that Top Dog you just talked with? Ask one of the CRA or EO folks, like the one who said "more history".

I asked them if I could use the HP for secured card and they stated FIA doesn't do secured and that I would have to apply for that with BoA. BoA apps get instantly kicked out for me with no HP. Even secured ones.

Re: I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Ok, so FIA is not really BofA then? Is that how it works?

Do you have a checking account with BofA proper?

I used to have WF as my only checking account. Then added USBank, and Chase, with their little bonus offers, still use the accounts and they are good for cordoning spend / card balance payments. Added BECU, which I now consider my main checking, Golden1 CU, to give them some funds in / funds out history, and KeyBank for the promised $250 bonus. (will be closing that stupid Key Bank account as soon as the $250 posts because their fees are outrageous). WF still putts along with some necessary funds.

BofA checking might be a way in?

I do my banking with Chase, NFCU and a local CU.

I just added Discover Checking, too.

I will give the BoA analysts a ring tomorrow and see if they can put me into a $99/500 using that HP.

Re: I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

So the suggestion was made that I could somehow backdoor my way into a BoA secured card using my FIA HP. A little help?
