Actually I just found out the pulls weren't combined even though I apped the 2 cards 5 minutes apart, so I got a nice fat 6 pulls total for a $3k card. I'll find out in 2 days thru my email why the Venture wasn't approved. It just stings knowing it's still sitting on the prequal page as being qualified for me, and I just got bent over in HP's for that one low limit card.

Obviously all this is just a bump in the road overall, but I feel like I got shafted with all those HP's. I'm very curious to know the reason I was denied the Venture. The CSR on the phone was telling me she was surprised I got denied the Venture too, lol.

I went from $500 to $15k on my NFCU NavCheck & then got several thousand more on my CC with them over the last week, so I can't complain too much.

Plus I got the QS from Cap1 which will grow with me soon enough I'm sure.

The HP's are just HP's and will go away soon enough.

i would see if they can do anything for you. that seems weird you prequalified but got denied. obviously it can happen and it's a YMMV thing but i would keep down them a little bit about it.

I have a capital one QuickSilver one  and a platinum card I was wondering should applied for the Visa one? What is the difference?

the visa one is typically for the regular QS afaik but if you have the QS1 just see about doing a PC to the QS visa because you don't need two of the same thing and you can also save the $39 AF

    then go to Another part of the site & look at the Cards,   you can put cards side by side to see What they give you  <>  your platinum Card is Nothing..   Your Qs one Card gives you some Money back on purchases >   A Venture card is a Higher tier Card, it also give you Miles instead of $..   However you can cash in for $$$,  Gift cards Or Miles towards travel...   all this you should be reading on The Capital one site,   Not asking someone else..  what the difference is!

sure, someone could read a site but they're also asking for guidance and it didn't appear they asked "what is the difference in the platinum card and the venture" so the questions asked seemed pretty appropriate for the page. this page is to help people. inevitably you're going to see 50 of the same questions and discussions but that's why we signed up - to ask and help others in need. if you don't want to supply advice then it's easy to not post in someone's thread...

i am sure you've asked "basic" questions as we probably all have. be patient and appreciate what we do for each other.
