I've been trying to get in with them forever... not to mention they're my primary bank that receives my direct deposit.. *sighs* maybe next summer.
Wow. Your scores look much better than mine when I was approved. That's just crazy! Not sure why them wouldn't approve you.
I was declined initially so I then took my banking relationship to Navy Federal and opened a cc. Two months after receiving my first Navy Fed card, I randomly submitted an app with Pendfed and was approved for my highest limit card (at the time).

I'll take credit seeking for $800, Alex.

Can / will you share how long ago you opened your last account and how many inquiries you have in the past 12 months?

I know they pull Equifax, but it looks like they had like 10 new accounts in the last 12 months based on siggy info. I'm going to assume credit seeking hurt their chances.
I resigned to wait another year for Penfed because I'd likely be declined as most of my openings were within the last 12 months.
@Anonymous
Sorry for the denial. Have you tried sending a message to ask for reconsideration on the app.
@Anonymous, Sorry for your Penfed denial![]()
I was initially denied for having to much available credit.
Waited 6 months,
applied again after having fairly substantial checking deposits and was approved. (go figure)

It's fairly possible that once you address the majority of the items listed on the letter then an approval is not out of reach. While every profile is different, you too can eventually achieve what @AverageJoesCredit did not long ago.
