If I was to open BCE, what would be my limit?

Scores & current limits are in my sig. I've been an AU on moms amex which currently has a 20K limit. What would be my limit if I was to apply? Income 45k. Gardening for over 9 months. I'm planning to garden for another few months and giving it a shot, I think they may approve me!

If you've been gardening that long, and have these current limits, I'm guessing you could be in the range of $5k, but that is hardly scientific.

It's based on others with mid to low 600's scores getting in with $1000 or $500, and thinking AMEX may go some above that, but not give away a lot, since you have the ability to grow the CL after getting the card.

I don't want to apply until all accounts are a year old.

Re: If I was to open BCE, what would be my limit?

I think waiting is fine, however to clarify, my $5k estimate is also for several months out, in other words, I would not expect you would get $10k as an initial limit by waiting longer. I'm not trying to rush you to app, but with AMEX, if you have your eye on a particular card, and scores in the excellent condition yours are, you aren't gaining anything by waiting, there's no special prize, other than perhaps meeting certain gardening objectives that aren't yet obvious to the rest of us.

Good luck, whenever you decide to go for it!

I'm saying 6-7K. Simply because my scores were a tad (less than 20) lower, my income quite lower and was approved for 5K.

No one can really guess how much you will be approved for.  It will all depend on your profile, credit and whatever Amex uses to determine limit.

Congratulations! Smiley Happy  Amex seems to be quite giving with this card.
