If approved for a QuickSilver at 3k...

Nevermind!  I found the answer - that they can and will offer a platinum instead.  No thanks.  Smiley Happy

Question!

I've heard some people get approved for Quicksilver (not "One") Visa's with only a 3k limit.  Are those still Visa Signatures?

I'm tempted to apply outright for one for the $100 bonus, but if there's the possibility of only getting 3k and no Signature status it isn't worth it to me.  I might try for a Venture today or tomorrow so was thinking of trying to piggyback a Quicksilver with it, but not if they'd counter with a non-signature card.

hundred bucks is not that great of a bonus for 3 inquiries... anyway

there are a few types of quicksilvers, at least in my experience. Mine started off as platinum visa in credit steps in december, started at 1k. by bypassing the 3k I knew it was not going to be stuck at a low limit. you already have a qs mastercard. why do you want duplicates just to have a different network?

Well if you are going to do venture and back to back with QS. what is the difference? I have a couple Visa siggys and there is nothing special what so ever about that. i don't get it. If venture which is automatically Visa signature what is the problem? Imo. I would just app the Venture and since they are going to use the same 3 pulls if you do it within seconds of each other. Go for the Qs regardless of limit. It grows so fast. Even my Qs 1 went from $500 to 5k in less than a year. Its a World mastercard. but i could care less honestly. The benefits on Both. Visa siggy and World are not used by the majority of People ever. A free movie ticket and other small things.

If you happen to have a QS World MC version, look closely at the benefits. It comes with Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance automatically, different from travel accident or lost luggage insurance. My AMEX Delta card doesn't have Trip Cancellation insurance, so they always offer to sell it as an extra charge when booking a Delta flight. If paid with the QS, the cancellation/interruption insurance would be provided. Even Diners World MC does not have this. Nor does VISA Signature.
