Well she denied me the increase and the Marriott application because she said I have enough credit with them at this time. - _ - ok. I have a 2000 Amazon and a 4800 slate that I plan on using for the balance transfer (paying that off in two months in teo big payments)and then it will just sit in my drawer. Heavy sigh...... She is offered to transfer some of my credit from slate to Amazon....no thanks. She wouldn't even let me transfer some of the slate to open the Marriott. If it wasn't for that 20K venture I just got approved for my feelings would actually be hurt. lol. I use Amazon a lot tho but after reading what everyone says I won't even bother with it again. I wish I had the store card instead of the chase card. Marriott I wanted for the bonus and to use for our family vacays but I'm going to plant this pot in some soil for a year and focus on soft pull CLI.

If you're a Amazon Prime member, then the store card is much better than Chase's in my opinion. If you are Prime, then maybe you could app for the store card and if approved, move as much of your Chase Amazon limit as you can over to your Slate and then close the Chase Amazon?

Yes I am a prime member. Maybe I will do this and in one year apply for the Marriott and and move the slate and Amazon to them leaving just one with Chase....hmmmm #goals

Why don't you have them move 1500 from the Amazon?

For the Marriott? I asked. She would not do it. I kind of felt like no matter what I asked she wouldn't approve it. It's all good. I just got the Amazon store prime card for 2200. Im now sitting still. I'm going to pay off my Amazon visa with Chase ($20.00) tomorrow and put it in the sock drawer. Next year they can either transfer both the slate and Amazon to a new card or the cards will just sit.

Congrats on the store card approval! You can call credit solutions anytime and get a CLI on that card (Synchrony is much easier to get a CLI with than Chase is). As for the Marriott card, I believe it has a 5k minimum starting limit, so you would have to have another card with at least $5500 in order to have enough credit line to move over to open the Marriott (I believe they make you keep at least $500 on the donor card).

They will only allow one card? Both CL together are 6800

I don't know if they allow you to move CLs from 2 cards to the card you're trying to open - I've never done it before. Hopefully someone who knows can answer that.

Should I call back and ask more about that because it's not on any of my credit reports....

Google lexis nexis and call them and tell them you are about to apply for a mortgage and need a copy of your report. They will send it to you in the mail. There may be a charge of $10 or so, but you have no idea how much stuff you may see in lexis Nexis, that maybe you won't even remember. All the email addresses you have used in the past, to - if not all - most online shopping that you have done, how much was your online order and from what website / company. It is kinda freaky how much they know about us, including some stuff that we don't even remember.

Thank you. Under the consumer laws shouldn't they be required to furnish a copy for free once a year?
