Interesting Cap 1 letter in mail

So recently I shared my CLI's from CapOne in this thread;

On one of my cards I received a CLI to 7k.  However, I found a letter I received in the mail a few days ago and just opened it earlier. It said Congrats, we have increased your CL from 4000 to 8000.  8000?  really?  I logged back in to my account and sure enough, it states 7000 is my CL. 

I called the number on the letter and presented my case and my curiosity as to why there was a 1k discrepancy. After 2 transfers to different people and 20-30 minutes on hold I was told that they have verified this letter and would increase my CL to the stated amount. Sweet !

Strange discrepancy for sure but they did the right thing and honored the letter as stated.  More goodness from Cap One ...Gotta love it.
