Is AMEX Prequal a HP??

Stupid question.... I know.

Going to do a prequal for AMEX and it gave the usual about obtaining credit report but doesn't say that it won't affect/hurt credit. I just want to make sure I'm not taking a HP for a prequal haha.

It’s a soft pull unless you decide to go ahead and actually apply for a card through the pre qualify offer.

Won't hard pull unless you actually submit an application. In fact it shows this when I went to the page so not sure what did I miss here.

Ok that's what I was thinking but usually issuers say that it won't affect credit and this one didn't haha.
