Is Amex inquiry sensitive on new applications?

I reached my maximum card limit with Amex in 2013.  I've reallocated my credit line to focus on two BCP cards.  That left me with two $500 Amex cards.  I'm considering closing those two and apping for another Amex card.  I have 26 Inquries on EX.  My payment history has been great with Amex and they have made plenty of fees from merchants from my usage of the PRG card.  Any thoughts?

IMO Amex isn't inquiry sensitive at all.. They will tack it on to a list of denial if they don't want to approve you, but won't be the reason why a denial would happen

Thanks.  I think I'm going to try this once I pay off my BCP since I'll only be losing $500 with the potential of hopefully gaining so much more.

+1. I got an Amex ED ($5,000 CL) with something like 15 inqs on my EX.

I also havent noticed Amex as inq sensitive for new accounts. However they take notice of other new accounts when it comes to CLI so if I could manage to garden for 6 months would probably have better results on that front.
