Is Cap1 denying me?

I currently have a CP1 platinum with $7250 CL.  I did a prequalify and got told I prequal for QS1 and Platinum.  So I app'd for the QS1 since I want rewards and run a lot of money through my Cap1 every month.

I didn't get an instand approval or denial.  I got the we need to evaluate your application more.  I called the automated line and it says still reviewing and I should hear something in 10 business days. Is this a denial? I did the application on Monday and I haven't received an email or phone call requesting more info.

Re: Is Cap1 denying me?

Have you tried doing an upgrade on your platinum to a regular Quicksilver? There’s a link on here to see if your card is eligible for an upgrade. To answer your question, usually it’s a good sign if they haven’t denied your application and it’s under review. Hopefully your application is approved pending verification.

Re: Is Cap1 denying me?

i have called automated app status line atleast twice in the last 4 days and status is UNDER REVIEW.

They very likely will take the full 10 days to review and let us know.

I have a Venture app in the works with cap1.

Re: Is Cap1 denying me?

THANK YOU!!!!

I have been looking on my account for days trying to find an upgrade and couldn't. I just clicked on this and it let me upgrade to QS, not QS1!  My current card has just a $19 AF but this one will be $0.

Thank you, again!

Re: Is Cap1 denying me?

now you gotta contact cap1 for the status of the application and see if they can change it to another product like the savor.  Worst case scenario, you combine the new card into the QS for a larger credit limit.
