Navy Federal Credit Union Denial Recon

NFCU denied my first application for the Platinum card. I’ve heard that several people have had to recon 3x to get approved. I’m on my second denied.

1st letter - explanation of life events
2nd - Explanation if why I specifically need that card.
3 -???
How should I frame my reconsideration letter after getting denied twice already?

What reasons were given for your denial?

Re: Navy Federal Credit Union

No credit utilization
A lot on inquiries
Number of delinquent obligations
limited credit experience

Inquiries were in 2016. Just got a credit card a few months ago at keeping it at 11%. Card wasn’t listed when they checked it in January.

Re: Navy Federal Credit Union

Forget Navy ATM.  Try Discover (secured) Your limited credit history and your collection account(s) are problematic

Re: Navy Federal Credit Union Denial Recon

I was denied both cash reward and go reward. I only applied for the second card in Hope they would approve. I realize it's a computer algorithm that initially decides yes or no. I have a platinum with a high credit limit which I recieved a year ago. My credit is much better now so I was disappointed in the initial denial. I decided to send a recon through the apps secured email. I basically spoke about why I need this particular card and how I was doing well with the card they gave me and how they have helped me etc. You can Google recon letters. I was approved for the go reward for another large amt. Good luck
