Re: Is Capital One great now?

If they offered to combine CL's and had better CSR's I wouldn't bash them as much..  As others stated they accepted me when others wouldn't and for that I am grateful.  Doesn't mean I have to like them though, it was a needed relationship.

Re: Is Capital One great now?

I'm now suspecting that here in GA, CapOne just really wants that EX pull too. :/

My Journey card approval last year was a triple pull and each single time I've been denied by CapOne, I've had EX frozen and even EQ too.

Tradelines: Macy’s - $18k, Penfed Power Cash Rewards - $10k, Ethan Allen (TD Bank) - $5.7k, Kay Jewelers - $5.5k, Appliances Connection - $5.3k, Jared - $5.25k, Best Buy (Citi) - $5k, Dell Preferred Account - $3.5k, Samsung - $3.2k, Firestone CFNA - $3.2k, Capital One Platinum - $3k, Mercury MC - $2.25k, Williams Sonoma - $2.1k, Wayfair (Fortiva) - $2k, Amazon Store Card - $1.8k, Apple Card - $1.7k, NFCU cashRewards - $1.5k, CareCredit - $1.5k, B&H Photo - $1.5k, Adorama - $1.25k, Ebay MC - $1k, Sam’s Club MC - $1k, American Eagle - $1k, Ollo MC - $600, Mission Lane Visa - $500, NY & Company - $500, Walgreens - $500, Home Depot - $500, Target RED Card - $500, CapOne Secured MC 0 AF - $500, Penfed Overdraft LOC - $500

Current FICOS: Mid 640s-50s on all reports, Ch 7 BK D/C Aug 2019
Starting scores: EX - 534, EQ - 574, TU - 516 | Total TLs: $91k approx | Total Utilization: 17%, getting this back down

IMO not worth it to leave EX out of the carport for a Cap1 card...  EQ/TU sure, EX pulls are to precious, at least for me...  I had like 3 or something a year ago, now up to 10!   ugh..  I think I wil keep my  EX pulls for Amex/Chase.

Besides my Nordstrom inquiry this month and Amex inquiry last month on EX, there really isn't much else that's been on that report recently and I hope to keep it that way.

I think it is hilarious how so many people bash Capital One every day, say how terrible they are, yet this forum is now completely filled with threads about the Venture and even the Quicksilver -- both are now the best thing since sliced bread. I am happy to see it, because I have always defended my Capital One Quicksilver, but it's just funny to me how all of a sudden Cap One can do no wrong because they gave out some high limits, so now everyone assumes they will get approved and get a high limit.

I am glad though because hopefully, the Capital One bashing will cut down! I guess people have "forgotten" the supposed shortcomings of Cap One that they so frequently argue? I am just curious how, if they are so terrible, the prospect of a high limit eliminates all debate about them? It's just funny to me.

I haven't seen this much hype over a card since I have been on these forums (3 months), and it is not even a new card!

Oh boy, you have no idea what happened right?

I think it is discussed because of the dual applications with on hard pull on each of credit report that was recently discovered by a reddit user.

Google it you will know what I am talking about.
