I burned chase in a bankruptcy in 2003. I never repaid them obviously. It took 9 years for me to get back in with them, but I didnt try to really work on my credit till 2013. When I did a recon on a slate visa in Dec. 2013, the rep. told me that he sees the burned cards from 2003, but thats not holding them back from approving me. It was the utilization on one visa card. I waited 6 months, did the best job at working on my credit possible, didnt apply for anything and keep utilization at 1-3%. Applied for Freedom in June 2014 approved, now I have 10+ chase cards.
