That is interesting. I had a dispute going on this past 30 days that ended a week ago. I was told that my credit reports would be locked during the dispute. I wonder if that has something to do with this. All three credit bureaus say that my credit report is no longer locked though.
Thanks for the info, that is good to know.
So, it's one year before opening another account with Discover?
I tried the pre-qual late Nov and was turned down...
The reason was "Time Your Most Recent Discover Card Account Has Been Open."
Maybe they don't want to keep mailing folks these explaination papers, lol
There is a member who just posted that she was turned down for a disc card after getting a solid pre-qual.
when I spoke with her about this, she said that her husband had gotten the same message I received.
So, it seems like the link may still be good?

Yes 1 year between discover cards or will be declined for just the reason you gave.
I would call the credit bureaus to see.
I discovered it when I tried to log into one of the credit bureaus and it would not let me.
There was a message on the page that read something along the lines of...
“my account had been locked for my own protection, contact this number.”
When I called the given number the rep explained to me that my account would be locked until the dispute was resolved.
I sent a friend there for preapproval a few days ago .It was down. I told him his profile seemed solid and to apply outright without preapproval. He was denied. Now I feel bad lol. But hey I got denied at first too. Then approved 2 months later .So who knows w disco .
Interesting revelations…
A few days after "not" being able to request a pre-qual,
I received a letter saying Disc could not pre-qual me, “due to the time my most recent account has been open.”
It looks like they recieve the pre-qual app even though "Oops, something went wrong..."
A few days later (today) I received an email that my secured card has graduated, with a CLI from $800 to $1500.
I’ll take it 😊
