Wondering if NFCU is more sensitive toward overall UTIL and/or NFCU card UTIL? Reason being is that is mistakenly thought that I had to wait 6/180 in applying for a new card AND CLI. I have a GoRewards card that I got a CLI on in April and plan the second CLI in Oct. That said, it's well past the 91/3 since I got that card and I can apply for my 2nd NFCU card, right? Right now my overall UTIL is 34%, GoRewards UTIL is 25%-ish. I could easily bring the card UTIL down to like 10% but overall would be a bit tougher. Looking to apply for either the CashRewards or More Rewards. Current TU 8/9 (bankcard) is 711/671. Income a bit north of $200k.

1. All lenders are utilization sensitive.
2. If I were you I would try to get my overall utilization to below 30% before applying.
3. They're not going to be impressed that you got your NFCU card down to 10% if your overall utilization is 34%.

Thanks! I'm still learning...
As said above Yes UTL is always a factor with lenders and especially when it exceeds 30%. Under 30% total UTL is better and under 10% total even better. BUT even at that early this year I was denied a card by Citi for UTL only according to the letter and it was only 4% UTL at the time.
