Yes, the experience you are referring to is for a secured credit card from US Bank back in January. It was just a couple weeks after my discharge. At the time, I had private student loans that were delinquent and charged-off (which obviously, they were not discharged). The US Bank underwriter said my bankruptcy was not an issue, it was the student loan delinquencies. Those accounts are now paid off and closed. My reports are showing the accounts as 90 days late and transferred to another department (no indication they actually charged-off, which was a relief). I just applied for the US Bank Cash+ this past week, and I was denied again for the student loan delinquencies. I was told they like to see about a year of good credit history, but again, no issue with the bankruptcy. I hope that information helps.
I was approved 7 years post CH7 with US Bank for their Cash+ card. I did burn them in BK as well. Was approved for a 10K limit.

I wanted to give an update to my experience. Even though I was told verabally that my student loan delinquencies were the cause for my denial, I just received my denial letter which only states that my bankruptcy was the reason. So, I don't know what to believe now.

It's more than likely both (or any other reasons) would've been factored. Keep in mind that they're only required to provide you with 1 (or 'a') reason as far as disclosures go. If the letter stated BK, then that was the primary reason.
FFLGuy,
I was able to get back in with USBank with a retail Visa with Sportsman Warehouse. When they switched to Comenity, it converted to a standard US Bank Visa. If I remember correctly, it was after 5 year mark from chapter 7. I've not had another pre approval or offer for another card from them yet.
Hope this helps.
