I'm trying not to app for a while, and a few times over the last couple of months I've gone to the websites for J. Crew, Overstock, Game Stop, and a few others, and so far I've had the pop-up offers on each of them (I didn't take them - I just needed my ego stroked... LOL)
My scores are in the low 700s, and I've read of folks with higher scores never getting offers, and others with lower scores getting offers for everything. I've not tried my hand at the stores with a Visa, but I'm thinking the whole SCT thing is really YMMV.
