Is it possible to get Amex BCE with 6 months history?

I just applied with scores at 660, one year of history and $30k of income, plus lots of inquiries. I was approved for $1k, which I assume is the lowest this card goes. 

I would strongly suggest waiting until your 12th billing cycle reports, like others have already mentioned.

If your only looking for the cashback categories the BCE offers some Amex's issued by other banks have similar rewards structures.. The only downside of course is that they are not issued by American Express Bank.. Rather they just run on the American Express network...

I have an Amex issued by Elan Financial which offers 3% on gas 2% on supermarkets and 1% on everything else... So the only difference from BCE is that it does not have the 3% department store category.. and the 3% supermarket and 2% gas are switched... (I got this card at 6months of credit history and 19,000 in income starting limit was $4,800 YMMV though)

My above breakdown is useless if you only want Amex bank LOL but thought id give you some options that you may not have considered...

Sadly my income will probably be in line with what yours is now once I get my degree I may need to reconsider my career path...
