Is recon of a declined application a thing of the past? Synchrony decline 21 months post BK

Almost 2 years out of BK7 and synchrony is still a hard NO. I did include a very small balance on my Lowes card and a very small balance on a Sams club card. I tried to call and recon and was told they don't have access to my application or credit report and was not able to review anything. Transunion FICO 8 is currently 672. I was hoping to be back on their good graces but seems like this is going to take much longer then I hoped for.

There are lenders like Cap One where recon is not possible. I believe Synch has recon on some cards in portfolio, but not for all of them. Recent recon DP for Sams Club.

Most likely no recon with Synch until you pass 24 months. That goes for any Synch app.

Sync usually does not recon a denied application.

Correct.  Especially, if it's a system-generated decision.

The few instances where SYNCB has overturned some decisions in the past appear to be on specific verification instances.

That's what I thought to be true. This post from yesterday makes me think some store cards may be overturned decisions. Unless Walmart insisted on this. Sams Recon
