Is there a way to make a soft pull CLI request with Citibank DoubleCash?

Each time I tried for a "luv button" CLI with Citibank DoubleCash they automatically did a hard pull with Experian (Adding insult to injury they denied the requests Smiley Happy

Any way to apply for a CLI with them without generating a hard pull?

It depends on the verbiage when you look at the online CLI request screen. It will either say they will need to pull your credit report or it will say a credit report will not be pulled. It will change occasionally but I haven't seen any rhyme or reason to them wanting a hard pull or soft pull. If you call the CSRs don't always know what the difference between a hard and soft pull.

Agreed... Also, if the card is new, Citi likes to see at least 6 months of usage..

Strange they denied your CLI requst even though they did a HP. When I did mine, the limit went frm $3000 to $14100.

As others said though, a SP CLI is available after 6 months.
