Venture Chances?

So I've been stalking threads in regards to AMEX & Ventures. With that said, my utilization is around 45% and steadily dropping by the pay period, my stats are below. I currently have a QS1$2.5k & Cap1 Secured $300 from Capital 1 plus other cards from BOA, Barclays, Macys & Comenity. Once I get my utilization down do you think I have a shot on a Venture?
Edit: Spelling error

Re: Venture Chances?

Get Util < 30% at least and I would say you have a pretty good chance.. What is your highest limit and what is your AAoA?  They are handing them out like candy and plenty of people in your score range are getting approved from them.. With lower utilization also your scores will go up... wait until obviously it reports before applying...

Re: Venture Chances?

Check that pre-qual.

DW didn't get anything until her utilization reported 5% down from around 20% or so.

If their pre-qual offers something along the lines of "Congratulations etc", you should be the proverbial golden Smiley Very Happy

Good luck!

That's what I'm aiming for less than 30%. My highest limit is 3k on BOA Rewards and my AAoA is at 2 years.

I'd get utilization down and apply whether pre-approved or not.  Some people are not pre-approved and get approved .

Re: Venture Chances?

Venture card is a lot harder to obtain than the platinum or qs1 from my experience...Venture is typically a minimum of $5k CL, VentureOne is $3k CL minimum.

But like others said, if pre-qual doesn't show it, chances are probably slim...but then again, that doesn't necessarily mean you will not get approved, but they are pretty accurate on the pre-quals from what I have been reading.

Good luck!

Re: Venture Chances?

I'd wait to get the utilization down.

Like others have said you may get approved without the pre-qual, but theirs is pretty solid if you have one.  I think that once you get it down to the optimal (below 30%), you will probably see something there Smiley Happy.

Of course, 1-9% is ideal but below 30 is great too.

The waiting sucks but will provide the reward you're wanting.  Had to wait over a month for everything to report for DW but once it did we were  in awe of what happened Smiley Happy

GOOD LUCK and GOOD PATIENCE!!
