I applied for a Platinum Card from Navy Federal last night based on the reviews that I have read here. I have had a business account with them for the past 6 months which I have consistently deposited at least $16k/month since opening the account. (However, I applied for the credit card via my personal account.) I received an alert from Capital One CreditWise that my TU profile was pulled last night, which is my best score (709 with no baddies). I just can't imagine that I got denied considering people have posted about their approvals with lower scores and lower income. Maybe I jumped the gun, but I sent them a secure message this morning inquiring about why I was denied, their response is below.
This is the intial message that I recieved this morning, which I assume is a denial:
Navy Federal Response 09/25/2017 : Thank you for your interest in a Navy Federal credit card account. Our records indicate that a credit card application has been submitted, and is currently under review. The Credit Card Lending Team will notify you in writing of its decision within approximately 5-7 business days. If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know. Have a great day!
